South Asia - Jesuit social activists explore ways to foster harmony
Around 100+ Jesuit social activists of South Asia, representing 20 Provinces and Regions gathered for the 20th JESA Triennial Convention 2017 in Pune, from 12th to 15th October 2017, discussed and deliberated on the strategies to deal with the issues related to the theme "Collaboration and Networking for Harmony". With the help of inputs from Harsh Mander and Amitabh Behr - both social activists and Anand Patwardhan - a documentary film maker, the delegates examined the alarming situation of religious fundamentalism that disrupts peace in South Asia and the challenges the mission of reconciliation and justice pose.
