Manaus - Seminar discerning the mission of the Pan-Amazonic Plan
Between 19 and 22 November a Seminar was held in Manaus to discern the mission of the recently initiated Jesuit Plan for the Pan-Amazonia. At present there are around 70 Jesuits working in different countries of the Amazonia: Brazil, Guyana, Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia. People from all these countries came together for the first time to share their experiences and envision their future joint work. This Plan is being promoted by the Conference of Latin America, which has identified the Amazonia as one of its priorities. Click for more information. The REPAM (Red Eclesial Panamazónica) has also released a pastoral letter in Spanish, and English.
